A few months ago I completed a project milestone for upgrading a Magento 2.2.3 site to Magento 2.3.3-p1. The upgrade required several code modifications in existing plugins and the website theme to successfully complete the upgrade and several bug fixes in the updated version to correctly use common features like product details import and site map creation. An additional milestone tested the update from Magento 2.3.3-p1 to Magento 2.3.4 which did not require additional patches. Your project will require the following tasks: 1. Clone the current Magento 2.1 site to a development site. I would prefer to clone it to my developer PC and develop most of the necessary details locally 2. Apply necessary patches for the Magento 2.1 codebase to successfully complete the upgrade process. It might be necessary at this stage to update existing modules 3. Test the new Magento 2.3.4 site. It will be necessary for you to assist in this process and notify me about all bugs you encounter. It is possible some modules require updates, it is possible some modules can be patched. 4. After your acceptance of the new Magento 2.3.4 site schedule a date and time when to switch your live site to Magento 2.3.4. This process will take several hours where your live site will be under maintenance. Please keep in mind that it is possible that some bugs appear during the normal operation of the updated site.
