We're looking for a hands-on fractional Chief Revenue Officer to own the entire revenue engine for Layerline ([login to view URL]), a global 3D printing marketplace selling printers, filament, and accessories worldwide. This means marketing, sales, and customer success — the full funnel from first click to repeat purchase. Layerline is the immediate focus, with the role expanding to other ventures in our portfolio over time. Freelancers only — no agencies. Flexible, ongoing engagement with potential to grow into a full-time role and long-term partnership. --- ABOUT LAYERLINE • Global 3D printing marketplace — 100+ products (printers, filament, parts & accessories) • Worldwide shipping, competitive pricing, 2-year warranty • Based in the Netherlands with a US entity, selling globally • Target audience: hobbyist makers, prosumers, small and medium-sized businesses • Custom-built platform with AI-first approach • Part of a broader portfolio of technology and e-commerce ventures --- WHAT WE NEED Revenue Strategy • Defining and owning the overall revenue strategy and targets • Building a revenue model — understanding and optimizing all revenue streams • Pricing strategy — competitive pricing, bundling, dynamic pricing, margin optimization • Identifying new revenue opportunities (B2B, partnerships, platform licensing, marketplace commissions) • Forecasting and reporting on revenue performance Marketing & Growth • Paid acquisition — Google Ads, Meta Ads, Pinterest Ads, Microsoft Ads (with future expansion to Snapchat, TikTok, Amazon, Reddit, LinkedIn, Twitter/X) • SEO & content strategy — buyer guides, comparisons, reviews, high-intent keyword targeting • Conversion rate optimization — landing pages, checkout flow, A/B testing • Email marketing — abandoned cart, post-purchase, lifecycle campaigns • Conversion tracking setup & management — pixels, server-side tracking, GTM, Conversions API • Community & influencer marketing in the maker/3D printing space Sales & Business Development • Building and executing outbound sales processes for B2B segments (makerspaces, schools, businesses) • Handling inbound sales inquiries and converting them • Upsell and cross-sell strategies within the existing customer base • Partnership development — suppliers, resellers, distributors, affiliates • Volume/bulk deal negotiations Customer Success & Retention • Owning the post-purchase experience — making sure customers come back • Reducing churn and increasing repeat purchase rates and LTV • Building loyalty programs, referral initiatives, and retention campaigns • Collecting and acting on customer feedback to drive product and service improvements Analytics & Reporting • Full-funnel KPI tracking (CAC, ROAS, AOV, LTV, conversion rate, NPS, repeat rate) • Proper attribution and tracking across all channels • Data-driven budget allocation and channel mix decisions • Monthly revenue reporting and forecasting --- WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR • 7+ years experience across marketing, sales, and/or customer success — ideally combined • Proven track record of growing revenue for e-commerce businesses • Full-funnel thinker — comfortable from paid ads to retention strategy • Hands-on experience with ad platforms, analytics, and conversion tracking (Meta Pixel, Google Tag, GTM, CAPI, etc.) • Strong in both B2C and B2B sales • Data-driven — you live in dashboards and make decisions based on numbers • Self-starter who takes ownership of the entire revenue picture Bonus: • Experience in niche/technical product e-commerce • Familiarity with the 3D printing or maker community • Experience with pricing strategy and margin optimization • Partnership and business development experience • Vibe coding mindset — can use AI tools to build automations, landing pages, or quick prototypes • International e-commerce experience (EU/global) --- HOW WE WORK • Remote, flexible hours • Clear communication, ownership mindset • Revenue-first mentality — every action ties back to growth • Long-term relationship with the right person --- TO APPLY 1.
