Dynamic line rating (DLR), also known as real-time thermal rating (RTTR), is an electric power transmission operation philosophy aiming at maximizing load, when environmental conditions allow it, without compromising safety Need to design (matlab code + simulink) that can simulate the benefit of DLR instaling in the power line to rate It base on climatic changes The project shall contain 1) Liturer review containing the concept, module , equation , etc + ( references ) 2) Matlab Code + simulink 3) Simulate DC OPF or UC for different cases 4) the network module shall be based on IEEE standard network (e.g. 11 bus or above) 5) Abstract— I will evaluate the Dynamic Line Rating (DLR). This is one of the most popular methods used today to improve the efficiency and economy of the Grid. DLR measure and analyze the characteristics of the transmission lines and assign the operational limits in different environmental situations. I will make the calculation using the IEEE Std 738-2012 to show the instantaneous and the steady state conductor parameters that DLR takes from measurements over the conductor to obtain the key information such as line current, conductor temperature, conductor clearance-to-ground, tension, sag, vibration, or inclination. Then, I will get the results and cross reference these with environmental factor tables to create a simulation. The evaluation consists in compare the transmission lines performance in different environmental conditions that exist at various times of the year against the theoretically real time measures obtained from the sensor, with both information the program will assigns a rating on the transmission conductors based on the line capacities, with that results the operator or the system can obtain the optimal option to make the best decision and improve the performance of the Grid in different environmental or external conditions. This study is development as experimental verifications. Note: if recommend to use any software other than matlab we can discuss if the programs is easy to understand
