Job Description:
For 14 years, we've operated an equine assisted learning facility, helping struggling youth, teens and adults find their way through challenging times with the help of rescued and retired horses, who also had struggles in their lives before joining out Symatree farm team.
Being in Manitoba, it gets cold during the winter and I'd like to build a 16 x 20 heated room in the enclosed and insulated pole structure arena (70 x 180) so that people could warm up or observe the horses from within a warmer space. It would act as a multipurpose room. Being for the public, the RM is deeming it a Class 9 Building and requiring stamped structural, electrical, mechanical and architectural drawings, along with letters of assurance.
I have just found a structural engineer and am seeking the others. Our budget is limited but our hearts are huge and we're determined. :)
Electrical... I'm expecting the usual outlets every 8' (?), four pot lights, a dimmer switch, 2 radiant ceiling panel heaters and two lighted Exit signs above the doors.
Mechanical... I don't know what, if anything, we'd need but I do need a mechanical engineer to say that. The room with have opening windows and two doors. The heat is electric. Not sure what mechanical components would be necessary.
Architect... fire and safety... I'm thinking a fire extinguisher or two and the lighted Exit signs? I really don't know what else.
Our timeline is ASAP. :)
