Most of the complexity here isn't the chess logic itself, it's making sure matchmaking, timers, reconnections, game persistence, and real-time synchronization all behave reliably once real users start playing. My team and I have worked on real-time applications where state synchronization and session recovery were far more challenging than the UI layer. One thing we've learned is that issues usually appear around reconnects, timer accuracy, and edge-case game states rather than the core gameplay. A couple of questions: • Is the application already built and you're looking for completion/refinement, or is development still pending? • Are there known issues around matchmaking, sockets, or game persistence that need attention?
