I’m building a full-stack, real-time study planner where students can create shared calendars, track their progress, and manage group permissions without friction. The stack is already chosen—React on the front end, Node + Express on the back end, [login to view URL] for live collaboration, and MongoDB with Mongoose handling data. I’ll deploy either to Heroku or AWS, so please structure the project for easy CI/CD on both. Core scope • Real-time calendar: changes made by one user must appear for all connected users instantly (≤250 ms). • Progress tracking: visual analytics that show individual and group completion rates. • Role-based access control: for this first release every user signs in as a Student, but the codebase needs clean hooks to add Group Leader and Advisor tiers later. • Social-media authentication: Google and Facebook OAuth flows only, no email-password fallback. • External integrations: push/pull events with Google Calendar and one-click “Join Zoom” links inside each session. Deliverables 1. Source code for React, Node/Express, and [login to view URL] with clear README and environment samples. 2. MongoDB schema models and seed data covering calendar items, tasks, roles, and OAuth profiles. 3. Unit and basic integration tests (Jest or Mocha) hitting ≥80 % coverage. 4. Docker-compose file plus deployment script so I can spin the app up on Heroku or an AWS EC2/Elastic Beanstalk instance in one command. 5. Short Loom video walkthrough demonstrating real-time collaboration, progress charts, and a successful OAuth login. Acceptance is based on cloning the repo, running docker-compose up, and watching two browser windows sync calendar edits live while logged in through separate Google accounts. If you have shipped similar [login to view URL] or calendar-based apps, let’s talk timelines and milestones.
