Instructions for logo animation project below: (A logo already made but needing refinements) 4.7 Project: Make the Static, Dynamic (DEADLINE BY SUNDAY MARCH 1st!) Final Project: Logo Refinement & Animation Project Overview For this final project, the refined logo developed over the past three weeks will be brought to life through motion using Adobe After Effects. While the logo serves as the visual cornerstone of the brand, animation enhances its impact and memorability within today’s digital landscape. The motion design should be visually engaging while remaining aligned with the brand’s identity, tone, and messaging. By applying David Airey’s seven rules of iconic design—simplicity, relevance, distinction, memorability, adaptability, timelessness, and scalability—the final static and animated logos must remain strong, professional, and effective. This project emphasizes thoughtful decision-making in both branding and motion design to create a final product that is dynamic yet refined. ⸻ Objectives • Finalize the logo design, ensuring it adheres to David Airey’s seven rules of iconic design. • Develop an animation in Adobe After Effects that enhances and complements the logo without overcomplicating the motion. • Maintain consistency between the static and animated logo, ensuring the movement reflects the brand’s personality and messaging. ⸻ Assignment Requirements 1. Refine the Logo • Make final adjustments to the logo based on feedback received. • Ensure the logo meets professional design standards and aligns with the brand identity. 2. Plan the Animation • Consider how motion can reinforce meaning (for example: smooth fades for elegance, dynamic bursts for energy, subtle movement for sophistication). • Keep the animation simple but effective—avoid excessive effects that distract from clarity. • Create a short animation plan to guide the motion design. 3. Animate in Adobe After Effects • Use keyframing and easing techniques to create smooth, intentional movement. • Keep the animation between 3–5 seconds in length. • Ensure the animation loops seamlessly (if appropriate) or has a clean entrance and exit. 4. Export & Submit • Export the final animation as an MP4 or GIF (with a transparent background if necessary).
