Traditional Malian Folk Music Recording

I would like to start by expressing my immense enthusiasm for this traditional Malian folk music recording project. Even though my background is mainly in data science and software development, my diverse range of skills actually make me well-suited for this task. Allow me to explain why: a key aspect of my work as a data scientist has been to utilize Python to process and analyze various forms of data. The similarity here is in how we both aim to create a piece of art using our respective tools - mine being Python and yours the kora and guitar Moreover, I have an insatiable interest in different cultures and music, which naturally led me to immerse myself in the rich musical heritage of Mali. On the side, I have been playing the guitar for over a decade now, honing my skills not only in traditional western styles but also exploring various world musics including West African styles. While I may not have directly recorded traditional Malian music before, my experience with audio processing and recording as a hobbyist musician should make for an easy transition
