Hi, thank you for the opportunity. There is some information I will need in order to help you on a better way: 1. What are you going to bakcup 2. What is your router brand and model. It is important because according to the best practices for backup we should create a separate network segment for backup traffic, it deppends a lot also of the devices you're planning to backup 3. What is the estimated amount of data you will backup and what is the new NAS capacity. This will give you an idea of how many days or weeks or months of data you will be able to store on your new device. There are basically 3 types of backup: Full, differential and incremental.
