Personal finance on Odoo

I am looking for a freelancer to help me set up a Personal Finance system on Odoo that is: 1. Personal but scalable – I can manage my own finances, as well as my spouse’s or friends’, all under the same company in Odoo. 2. Simple and easy-to-understand – I do not have accounting experience, so the system and explanations must be clear. Requirements 1. Design a detailed Chart of Accounts • Assets: Bank accounts, investment accounts, physical gold • Liabilities: Personal loan, credit cards, installment obligations • Equity: Owner Capital, Retained Earnings, Unrealized Investment Reserve • Income: Salary, certificate interest, realized investment gains • Expenses: Living expenses, financial expenses, investment expenses 2. Set up accounts in Odoo for each person individually • Each person should have their own account group under the same company • Assign account codes and clear names • Set the Account Type (Bank / Asset / Liability / Equity / Income / Expense) • Create journals for all cash or liability movements 3. Write clear and simple descriptions for each account • Example: 1101 – NBE Saving Account – “NBE Savings account to track actual cash balance.” • Descriptions should be easy to understand for a non-accountant 4. Set up key reports for each person • Balance Sheet • Profit & Loss • Cash Flow Statement • Monthly Cash Overview – Shows total cash available at the end of each month from all accounts, with optional inclusion of available credit card balances as a reference 5. Create a centralized and scalable dashboard • Shows actual cash + available credit card balances • Each person’s data is separate but managed under the same company • I can track all accounts and also be part of the people whose finances the company manages 6. Provide step-by-step guidance and communication • It is very important that we communicate and go through everything together • The freelancer should be patient and able to explain all steps clearly for someone without accounting knowledge Freelancer Requirements: 1. Practical experience with Odoo Accounting 2. Experience designing scalable multi-person systems 3. Ability to simplify accounting concepts and write clear account descriptions 4. Able to train and guide on managing accounts and reports
