Dive Shop Re-bid CONCEPT This is a re-bid of a project submitted about a month ago. The individual in charge of the bid on our end was injured and after talking to [login to view URL] they suggested resubmitting the information when ready. We want a LAN based database to run the dive-shop department that can be accessed over the LAN. It would track all customer information, relate it to our daily schedule and allow changes by the dive staff. We also want the option of online bookings but the option not to use that link. Basically if the Internet goes down the master database must be available locally. Languages we have preferences for are Access, ASP, VB, PHP, MYSQL but are open to comments. Would like a registration number or security system so once installed it can’t be copied and given to others ??" maybe a serial number tied to an internal pin, comments welcome. The zip file lays out the basics. All bids need to be submitted by April 20, 2003. Project completion will be decided directly with the programmer but will be a maximum of 30 days from the acceptance of the bid. The winner of the bid will be picked by May 1, 2003 subject to discussion. If your submitting a bid please include the language you want to use, the time it will take you, the cost, include 1 year of support, layout your basic feeling on yearly updates as they will done based on feature requests through the year.
