Firefox extension work

We want a very simple extension created for firefox. The extension serves two purposes: 1) as a test of your skills as we have larger firefox work. 2) be an example for others to create an extension The extension will do the following: 1) have a configuration panel, this panel will have at least a checkbox, and the standard buttons to save/cancel. This checkbutton value needs to be stored so each time you launch firefox it will have the last value set. 2) Add a icon to the bottom right corner of the status bar (like greasemonkey does) that when the checkbox is true, it will be in color, when it is not checked, it showes a black&white version of the icon. 3) be forward compatible - it must work in firefox 1.0 - deer park (the alpha version of firefox 1.1) 4) have all the standard extension stuff (installable/uninstallable/...) 5) be as simple as possible to still work. ---- I will be publishing this for others to use as an example. This is mostly trivial, it means to test your ability to find the correct way to do "new" things. (although experts in firefox certainly can apply). We have a very large project we would like help on. Successful completion will lead to private bids. ## Deliverables

1) Complete and fully-functional working extension in xpi form (containing full source code of all work done).

2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):

a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.

b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.

3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
