I need a simple java applet that can be placed on a web page (http: or https:) and let the user "draw" in it with his mouse.
The height and width of the drawing area will be determined by the HTML that is embedding this object.
The object will have a simple one-pixel border around the drawing area, a logo (I will provide) below the border, and When the mouse is over the drawing area, it will turn into a pencil icon.
The java applet will also be passed two alphanumeric IDs -- a MemberID and a DrawingID. The java applet will also be passed an instructional message -- this message will be displayed
One second after mouse-up events, (if a new mouse-down does not fire) the java applet will do an http get to my web server and pass the drawing information (as a series of x1,y1,x2,y2 pairs) along with the two alphanumeric IDs, and a counter (incrementing each time data is posted).
Deliverables include:
A) The java applet & source code
B) Sample HTML to embed the java applet
Both the java-applet and the sample HTML must handle all errors
If the user does not have java applet support (or if security settings prevet it from being shown) the sample HTML must display some HTML (which I will provide)
This should be a very simple project for someone who knows what they are doing -- especially with this detailed specification.
