We have an new osCommerce site and need customization of some pages and some reports. This includes: 1. The ability, via the admin, to categorize a customer. Please note, this is not the "separate price per customer" contribution, which we already have installed. In a customer's account, we need to be able to categorize them as retail (the regular account page), reseller (1st customized account page), developer (2nd customized account page), or reseller/developer (3rd customized account page). 2. Depending on a customer's categorization, they would be presented with one of the account pages. 3. We need some of our reports customized. ## Deliverables We have an new osCommerce site and need customization of some pages and some reports. This includes: 1. The ability, via the admin, to categorize a customer. Please note, this is not the "separate price per customer" contribution, which we already have installed. In a customer's account, we need to be able to categorize them as retail (the regular account page), reseller (1st customized account page), developer (2nd customized account page), or reseller/developer (3rd customized account page). *We'd like check boxes in the customer account information to make these choices. 2. Depending on a customer's categorization, they would be presented with one of the account pages. 3. The account pages should be at least somewhat customizable via the admin. We'd want a space to add HTML text/news blurbs to the top of the page. *These My Account pages would contain all of the elements of the regular account page. Options to view past orders, options to edit your address book, etc. In addition, each customized page would have a drop-down menu at the top to easily navigate to other account pages. Here are the page details. ***Reseller account page:** Our resellers are companies that buy our products at a reduced price and resell them to retail customers. Pricing wise, we have 3 levels of resellers, although their reseller level will not impact what they see on the account page. New account page opens looking like the regular account page, with the addition of a customized section of text from us at the top. Drop-down box with the following options: Reseller Reports, Reseller Price List, Marketing & Selling, Reseller Agreement. **On the Reseller Report page: We need the reseller to be able to view their sales. The report should be very customizable - they should be able to filter report results by order status, the date range, whether the columns in the reports should represent monthly, quarterly, or yearly time intervals, the product, etc. This report should also be viewable to our company via the admin, with us being able to view information for all resellers or individual resellers. **On the Reseller Price List page: On this page, we need a drop-down list of our current categories. When a reseller chooses a category, a printable price list of the products in that category comes up. The price list should include this information: Name of product (linking directly to the product), all pricing levels of product (from the separate price per customer contribution), any discounted price if the product is on sale, and product SKU. This price list should automatically adjust each time we add a new product or edit a current product. Only active products should be listed. We'd also like to let our resellers have the ability to export the list as a .csv file. **On the Marketing & Selling page: This page should mirror a certain product category that we're going to set up. We have a lot of downloadable marketing materials for our resellers, so we'll have them set up in our store as normal. Once we've done that, we'll let you know the name of the category so it will be mirrored to this page. **On the Reseller Agreement page: This page will be our legal reseller agreement, with a form at the end of the page that resellers/potential resellers would fill out. The form will need to be created (basic questions - name, address, preferred payment method, etc), and the coding set up so that the information is automatically entered into the database. We also need the ability, via the admin, to require any or all resellers to review and resubmit their agreement. I'm not sure what would be the easiest way to do this, but I was thinking that in every customer account, there could be a check box that would turn on this feature. Whenever that customer/reseller next logged in, they'd be taken immediately to the reseller agreement and prompted to review and resubmit. I'm open to your ideas on what would best take care of this issue. ***Developer Account Page:** Our developers are companies/individuals that put products on our site for resell to retail customers. Their account page opens looking like the regular account page, with the addition of a customized section of text from us at the top. Drop-down box with the following options: Developer Reports, Upload Products, Developer Agreement. **On the Developer Report page: We need the developer to be able to view the sales of their product. When the developer signs up, he chooses his margin. His chosen margin, as well as his profit/commission per sale, should also be reflected in the report. So, he should see product name, cost of product, his margin percentage, and his profit/commission. The report should be very customizable - they should be able to filter the report by the order status, the date range, whether they want to see monthly, whether the columns in the reports should represent monthly, quarterly, or yearly time intervals, the product, etc. This report should also be viewable to our company via the admin, with us being able to view information for all developers or individual developers. **On the Upload Products page: This is a form where developers upload their objects. There is an osc contribution that allows customer uploaded products - I'm not sure if that would work here, but you're free to use it if it would. Here's what the form would need to include: Object Name, Object Price, short description (290 char max), long description (no char limit), 400x400 image file from hard drive (limit of 25 images added), 100x100 thumbnail image from hard drive, a drop down list of our categories/sub categories so that they can choose where their object belongs, text box for keywords, etc. Please see the enclosed zip file for a good example. These products, along with their information, would show up in a special place in the admin. We should be able to view and edit every part of what's submitted before allowing the product to go live on the site. We also need a couple of options added to the admin side of this. The developer only submits the retail cost. In the admin, we need blank boxes for all of the other customer pricing groups. We'll type a percentage in each box and the price should automatically adjust down to that amount. There should also be a box to add the product SKU, the product classification, and the product weight. Lastly, we should be able to add product attributes from this screen. We already have the product attributes manager installed, so most of what you need for this should already be available. **On the Developer Agreement page: Very similar to the reseller agreement page, so most of this is repeated information. This page will be our legal developer agreement, with a form at the end of the page that developers/potential developers would fill out. The form will need to be created (basic questions - name, address, preferred payment method, etc), and the coding set up so that the information is automatically entered into the database. Their acceptance of this agreement should be marked with the date and time. If they alter the agreement at a later date, those changes should also be noted and dated so that we could review the history of any changes to that account. We also need the ability, via the admin, to require any developer to review and resubmit their agreement. I'm not sure what would be the easiest way to do this, but I was thinking that in every customer account, there could be a check box that would turn on this feature. Whenever that customer/developer next logged in, they'd be taken immediately to the developer agreement and prompted to review and resubmit. I'm open to your ideas on what would best take care of this issue. ***3rd Customized Account Page:** This would be for people/companies that are both resellers and developers. Their main account page would include the text boxes for both and their drop-down box would include all pages. ------------------------------------------------------- We need our developers set up in the database. We thought it might be easiest to use the "manufacture" feature that osc has. Each product submitted by a developer should show that developer's name in the product description. When clicked, the customer could browser through all of their products (set up like our standard search results page.) In the product description, we already have a box associated, and filled out with, our developer's login email address. This information should also help in setting up the reports listed above. Other reports: We need one comprehensive report that is very customizable. It needs to be able to be filterable by date range, whether the columns in the reports should represent monthly, quarterly, or yearly time intervals, membership level, order status, product/product category, product classification, whether it's a reseller order or not, etc. The report should be sortable by as many fields as is possible. The information included in the report would be order number, order status, date, company, customer name, membership level, payment type, sub-total, gift certificate, discount, coupon, shipping cost, tax, total, etc. This report is in addition to the individual reseller and developer reports talked about above.
