Holistic Practitioners Association Website

PROJECT: We want to hire a web designer for a simple wordpress website for a new association called the "International Association of Holistic Practitioners" - IAHP. We plan to have three columns, about 950 px wide, centered. We have created a simple page design that we want to use. Before proceeding with implementation on the design, we would like to have comments and suggestions. WHAT WE ALREADY HAVE: We want to be able to incorporate our current blog at [login to view URL] and redesign it for the association, with a new url. If possible, we want to be able to start over with the design and import the content of our current blog, which we will rename accordingly. We also want to enter the content ourselves. We plan on having about 10 pages, including the blog, so we will need a nice menu bar. ## Deliverables OTHER REQUIREMENTS: We want the site to have a logo that we can transfer to our business cards, etc. For the membership component, we currently own amember pro, but we are undecided about whether we want to use it and want advice on the best way to proceed. We will want to have an automated system for members to sign up that is coordinated with our shopping cart, which we plan to have with a variation on 1shoppingcart and authorize.net. We also want to have a way for members to create their own profiles, with photos, and display them on a page on the website. We are wondering if there is a way to do this using google profiles or what your suggestions are. We also want this designed and ready to go. STYLE: We are looking for a web designer who can help us to create a look that merges the professional look of an association with a more alternative look of a holistic practitioner, along with the updated perspective of a 21st Century, internet-savvy approach. EXPERTISE: We want a designer who has extensive experience designing wordpress websites, membership websites, and coordinating with social media. We also want to work with a company we can speak with to make comments, so you must be available for phone calls and good English is a must. TIMEFRAME: We want the website to be completed by September 1, or within 2 weeks of the start date.
