Hello, In summary, the objectives of this project are to develop a single, "all inclusive" application that provides the following features: 1) a mechanism that enables me (the administrator) to convert PDF based e-books to EXEs (so that various copy and time-limited trial capabilities can be applied ??" see below) 2) ability for me to apply various copy protection features to prevent or significantly minimize piracy 3) ability for me to turn my e-books into time-limited trials 4) ability for me to manually generate pre-authorized "access codes" for manual distribution to customers, and ability for me to track the use of those access codes (explained in attached doc.). All features should be easy to use by both the admin and the customer, and contain clean, simple, easy-to-understand, easy-to-use user interfaces. After a thorough investigation of "off-the-shelf" security products, I am finding that most of the products meet MOST of my needs, but there is a particular feature that is important to me (explained in attached document) that is missing in most products. And the ones that do have it are either far too pricey or lack other needed features. I suspect that some developers of the reasonably priced products might be willing to customize their existing product to meet my needs for some fee. However, I would prefer to have a single, "all inclusive" application that does everything I want and does not contain features I don't need. Therefore, if you are interested, I have prepared a detailed outline attached of what I am looking for so that you can provide me with a quote. (The attachment is a Word 2000 doc. If you are unable to open it, please let me know and I'll try to re-create it in another file format). Must work on all Windows OS's (Windows 95 and higher) Preferably would work on Macs too, but not essential.
