Automated update of MySQL database from php code

Broker Compare Data Collection We operate a price comparison site for stockbrokers, and we want to collect the data that users enter when they details and record any links they click from the site. The tool can be viewed here: [login to view URL] It is an html page, containing php code which calculates the cost of each provider based upon the user inputs. The php code draws the pricing for each provider from a MySQL database, and we would like the data that we record to a different table in the same database. This means that there need to be different triggers to capture the data, depending on what the user does. In each case, the timestamp should be applied from whenever the data is captured: User does not edit details: Data captured if user clicks on a provider. User edits details: Data captured when user clicks submit. If user then clicks on a provider, provider name and ranking are added to same row of the database User edits details after data previously captured: New row of data added with same device ID and blank details for provider and ranking User clicks on a new provider without editing details: New row added including the provider and provider ranking In due course, we will also need to be able to update each row with information from the providers - client IDs, conversion information etc. If the existing project is done well, we would hope to use the same freelancer to complete this piece of work. Either way, we will need the ability to add further fields, edit fields and add information to existing rows. Access to our database hosting will be provided once the project has been awarded.
