Crowd source citizen science data

As part of a science teacher citizen science project, we are looking to create a site similar to [login to view URL] in function, to allow the crow sourcing and visualisation of simple data. Input datafields to be: (a) Text descriptive (b) Fixed Text (from a fixed dropdown list - Boy / Girl for example) (c) Numeric (any valid number, both positive / negative) (d) Date (from a date picker and stored as dd/mm/yy format) The solution to allow the enduser to: • select from the fixed numeric fields to histogram • select 2 numeric fields to scatter plot • select from the numeric data fields to calculate and display the mean, mode, median and standard deviation. The data to be stored online (either in flat json file or MySQL database). Users to be able to download the entire dataset in csv (or similar) file format. Technology Not to use serverside technologies like NodeJS (essential) To use (if needed): PHP, Javascript, JQuery (or equivalent), Visualisation libraries, JSON We are looking to apply the solution to a number of projects to collect / visualise crowd sourced data, so the ability for us to further customise the solution is essential.
