Custom PHP Form to use Wordpress Mail function

Hello,
ich have website that uses some custom php to allow a course registration. For some reason the mail function doesn't work with every recipient - and I think that that's because it doesn't use the Wordpress integrated mail function. I'm using a Plugin to use a custom SMTP mailer and this works with the normal forms and also with test mails but not with my custom php form.
I would need help to change the way the form is sending mail.
