Integrate PayPal API & Webhooks into Existing Website

We are looking for an efficient, experienced backend developer to integrate PayPal into our existing PHP/Laravel application. The website structure and frontend layouts are already fully built. Your main task will be to connect the secure backend payment logic and ensure the system processes transactions smoothly. Because our platform runs in a containerized environment, code quality is highly important. The integration must be clean, modular, and fully rely on Laravel .env files for configuration. You will be responsible for integrating the PayPal Checkout REST API/SDK, setting up webhooks to listen for payment success, updating user statuses in the database, and linking the flow to our current checkout and redirect pages. We will handle the server and container deployment ourselves, so you only need to deliver the working code changes via Git.
