i am not iphone developer, i am android developer, u can use sqlite for store data in your phone, so when do login process, php compare the input with database store when matching the php create a token in server and you need to get a unique id from the device ex: imei code, so when success login the php insert the imei and save id user(primary key of user) and create a token for user, the token send to user as call success response, so if you launch your app you must check the sqlite ,if there is a data your app compare the token again to server if token still active it will open main page of your app ,if not, the client must register or login. why must save the imei code in server and create a token? when you try to login from another device you can create a decision to logout the account from the your first device, because every phone has different imei, so you can use it as notification security if bad person try access you account

That is really a simple task. The data can be stored in core data, or the simplest way, when it is only a login data, in User Defaults. The second is a task for a few minutes.
