I have a Power BI paginated report built in Report Builder and connected directly to a Power BI Dataset. The report renders, but the main table splits awkwardly across pages whenever multi-line text entries appear. I need a seasoned paginated-report specialist to dig into the layout, pinpoint why the table won’t stay intact, and apply proven techniques so pagination behaves consistently in the viewer and when exporting to PDF or Excel. Here’s what you’ll tackle • Analyse the current .rdl, identify the exact layout or dataset behaviour that makes the text rows push the table to a new page. • Optimise any relevant DAX queries or Report Builder properties so multi-line cells no longer force a break. • Deliver an updated report that keeps groups and totals together, respects page margins, and exports cleanly. • Summarise best-practice settings I should keep in mind for future paginated projects. Acceptance criteria 1. The table remains unbroken for all known datasets containing multi-line text. 2. PDF and Excel exports mirror the on-screen pagination with no extra blank pages. 3. A short note explains the changes and any Report Builder settings I should avoid altering. You can work in your own environment or request temporary access; I’ll supply the existing .rdl and a sample dataset. If this sounds straightforward to you, let’s get it fixed.
