I need a receiver designed that can receive an RF signal and can then interpret it. I would like it to be attached to a smartphone so that the phone could display the received information. If this could be attached to the smartphone via the headphone jack or Bluetooth that would be ideal.
Technical Information:
The transmitter fc= 216.660 MHz nominal. I don't know what the spread of the fc will be in production but it uses an xtal with total tolerances of +/- 50ppm and add a bit more for circuit tolerances so call it +/- 100ppm total(?). There is no modulation, just on-off keying, i.e. 100% AM. The transmitter pulses on for anywhere between 16 to 24 ms once a second +/- about 15%. I don't know the EIRP but it uses an 8 mAh battery, i.e. the smallest hearing aid battery made. With the current (more expensive) receiver the receive range is about 1/4 mile depending on terrain. I would suggest a receiver front end sensitivity of no more than a few dB above KTB in about a 10 kHz bw.
The coding for the mobile application is being done by my team so there is no need for that for this project. The only thing needed is the receiver itself. We will be able to ship a transmitter to wherever is needed so that the engineer can build a proper receiver.
