Hi, I'm a Python Developer. Looking at the error message and running the script, I can think of two possible resolutions for this error. First is going to be straightforward where I'll modify the script such that it would bypass these errors and keep working as usual. So, even if errors like this occur, script won't stop. Second would be to resolve the issue which is causing these errors. I'd need to observe the website itself for that. We can go with either one. Looking forward to hearing from you. Regards

The error: 'could not convert string to float' means only one thing, the scrapped data ('current_price') that is being converted to float, is NOT numeric. In your code this problem is already taken care of by removing non-numeric characters using 'regex substitution' method. Despite that you getting this error points to the fact that most probably 'current_price' data is EMPTY (does not contain any data). This issue happens most of the times during scrapping because the code did not allow sufficient waiting time for the data to be loaded, hence ended up capturing some stale/invalid data. Looking at your code, similar problems might exist in other lines as well. In addition to fixing this issue, I can sanitise the entire python script to enhance its reliability. My day job involves automating web application testing (logging into websites, navigating, extracting data, validating etc.) using Python. It requires extensive knowledge of synchronisation techniques which makes automation of web page operations more reliable so that the automation scripts always behave predictably. In your case this is exactly what you require, your Python script to be more robust and reliable. I have good hands-on experience using Python and Selenium WebDriver API (which is used in your project and where the problem needs to be fixed).
