Hi. I'm a python developer and I've used django before. My recollection is that django does not have a nice build in mechanism for triggering stuff, e.g. one triggers periodic tasks using cron. If possible assuming you have a linux server, I would suggest using inotify + icrond to trigger the email. This would probably require installing icrond (what linux do you have?) and configuring icrond. This is assuming you already have an endpoint to send emails. I have 6+ years of experience in IT industry. Key skills - Python, Django, Flask, Angular, Jenkins, AWS. Solution: it your application is deployed on AWS then we can simply point that folder on S3 buckets, AWS will send notification if there would be any update on your media folder. Second - We can write python script too and can make from job to continuously verify the folder it there would be any update it will send notification.
