Seeking a RabbitMQ SME & Production Support Specialist to support enterprise customers with the day-to-day reliability, troubleshooting, and operational health of their RabbitMQ platforms. This role is focused on hands-on production support — keeping clusters healthy, resolving incidents quickly, and helping customers avoid repeat issues — rather than greenfield architecture or long-term platform strategy. This role is intentionally scoped to accommodate two levels of seniority: Senior Production Support Engineer profile (deep troubleshooting, incident response, tuning), or Support Engineer profile (hands-on operations, monitoring, day-to-day maintenance) Candidates with strength in either profile will be considered. Scope, responsibility, and rate will be aligned accordingly. Provide production support to enterprise RabbitMQ customers across on-prem, VM, cloud, and Kubernetes environments. Troubleshoot and resolve cluster, node, and broker-level issues, including live production incidents Perform performance tuning and optimization, including quorum queues, streams, memory, disk, and networking under load. Participate in incident response, root cause analysis (RCA) creation, and proactive reliability engineering. Monitor platform health using observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, Kubernetes, Tanzu integrations) and respond to alerts. Support upgrades (Community and Tanzu RabbitMQ), including version transitions Assist with automation of RabbitMQ operations via Helm, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines Document recurring issues, fixes, and runbooks to reduce repeat incidents. Escalate and collaborate with architecture-level SMEs on structural or design-level issues Communicate directly with customer engineering teams during active support engagements. Senior Production Support Engineer Profile 7+ years of RabbitMQ experience, with significant time in production support or on-call operations Deep hands-on troubleshooting expertise across RabbitMQ Community (3.12+ / 4.1+) and Tanzu RabbitMQ Strong track record resolving live incidents under time pressure Solid understanding of HA/DR behavior, observability, and upgrade risk Comfortable communicating directly with customer technical stakeholders during incidents OR Support Engineer Profile 3+ years of hands-on RabbitMQ experience in production environments Working knowledge of: Networking, storage, memory management, and Erlang behavior Queue, exchange, consumer, quorum queue, and stream configuration Experience operating RabbitMQ on: Linux, Windows Bare metal, VMs, cloud instances Kubernetes, Docker Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve RabbitMQ and platform-level issues Working Kubernetes fundamentals and real-world containerized RabbitMQ experience

Hi. To keep your RabbitMQ environments stable, I would focus on fast incident triage, cluster health checks, and root-cause analysis across on-prem, VM, cloud, and Kubernetes deployments. I work directly with metrics and logs from Prometheus, Grafana, Kubernetes, and RabbitMQ tooling to isolate broker, node, quorum queue, stream, memory, disk, and networking issues under load. I also handle upgrade validation, repeat-issue runbooks, and automation with Helm, Terraform, and CI/CD so the same failures do not keep coming back. As a Senior Production Support Engineer, I have mastered RabbitMQ troubleshooting, incident response, performance tuning, and observability, and have strong experience in enterprise production support, HA/DR operations, and upgrade stabilization. I am comfortable working with customer engineering teams during live incidents and escalating only the structural issues that need deeper architecture input. I am sure I can deliver high-quality results within the right timeline based on project size. Let’s get in touch and discuss more. Thanks.

Hello, Quorum queues performance tuning is often the bottleneck that causes latency spikes in busy RabbitMQ clusters. I’d instrument the cluster with Prometheus and set up a dedicated queue‑latency collector, then off‑load quorum sync to a background worker so that each publish stays under 200 ms even under load; this also simplifies RCA by isolating storage contention early. Do you prefer Helm‑based deployments or manual Docker compose for the initial remediation steps? Thanks. Nemanja M.

Hi, I can help provide production support for your enterprise RabbitMQ environments, including monitoring cluster health, troubleshooting live production incidents, performance tuning, supporting upgrades, automating operational tasks, and working directly with customer engineering teams to ensure high availability and reliability. My approach is to first understand your RabbitMQ infrastructure, deployment topology, monitoring stack, and operational workflows. I'll focus on proactive monitoring, rapid incident response, RCA, performance optimization for quorum queues, streams, memory, disk, and networking, while automating repetitive tasks using Helm, Terraform, and CI/CD. I'll also document recurring issues and create runbooks to improve long-term platform stability. A few questions: 1. Are your customers using RabbitMQ Community Edition, Tanzu RabbitMQ, or both? 2. Which environments do you support most—Kubernetes, VMs, bare metal, or cloud? 3. What observability and incident management tools do you use (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, PagerDuty, etc.)? 4. Is this role part of an on-call rotation, and what SLAs do you follow for production incidents? 5. Will my responsibilities focus more on live incidents, planned upgrades, or an equal mix of both? Kind Regards, Nitin
