My goal is to build a palm-sized, battery-powered robot that cleans glass. When it finishes a run, it should locate its dock, couple for charging, and stay parked until the next scheduled cycle. Key functions • A working prototype that does both sides of glass at the same time. One side is active the other is moved by the active robot side • cleaning mechanism is by rotary scrubbing • routine scheduling and self-start • ability to dock for charging with the dock to be used idle storage. • ability to accommodate for non rectangular glass Variables • Ideal to be around palm size, • It doesn’t need ongoing sensors if the window can be mapped and saved • No water spray or suction needed • Magnetic attachment of robot to the second side Deliverables 1. Fully assembled working prototype with charging dock. 2. Brief build log so refinements or small-batch production are possible. 3. Refinement after testing of the prototype 4. It should be water resistant, it won’t be submerged

Hello I approach this as a low-power, mechanically driven dual-robot system, designed from the start for battery operation and mass production, not a lab prototype. Technical Execution ✔Ultra-low power architecture: Cleaning relies on deterministic motion and stored paths, eliminating cameras and continuous sensing. Motors run at constant, predictable load to maximize battery life. ✔Adjustable rotary scrubbers: Brush height and preload are mechanically adjustable to maintain consistent contact pressure across glass thickness variations and wear, without increasing motor current. ✔Differential drive control: A true differential wheel system improves straight-line stability and edge tracking, allowing accurate coverage with minimal sensing and better handling of irregular glass shapes. ✔Magnetically coupled dual module: One powered unit drives and cleans; the opposite side is a passive follower, reducing total mass, power consumption, and system complexity. ✔Docking and charging solved mechanically with guided alignment; wireless charging is integrated to remove exposed contacts and improve water resistance and long-term reliability. Manufacturing & Scalability: ✔Mechanical tolerances, magnet selection, motor sizing, and PCB layout are all defined with DFM and assembly repeatability in mind. This is a battery-efficient, mechanically honest solution that scales from a working prototype to high-volume production without redesign. Regards, Oleg

Hi, I understand you want a palm-sized, battery-powered glass cleaning robot that cleans both sides of a pane at once using rotary scrubbers, docks for charging, and stays parked until the next cycle. It should handle non-rectangular glass, avoid water spray or suction, and use a magnetic attachment for the second side. I’ll deliver a fully assembled prototype with a charging dock, plus a brief build log and a plan for refinements after testing. My approach is to design a compact dual-head module: a driven active head with a rotary brush on one side, and a second side moved by a linked mechanism so both faces scrub in sync. The control system implements a pre-mapped routine with self-start scheduling, storing the pane map to avoid real-time sensing. The dock provides automatic alignment via magnets and a compact charging module contained in a weather-rated enclosure for water resistance without immersion. Deliverables include the prototype, the build log, and post-test refinements, with CAD/CAM, PCB layout, prototyping, and embedded control ready for small-batch production. What is the target runtime per charge and acceptable cycle frequency for the self-starting schedule?\n\nWhat glass shapes, thickness range, and edge profiles must be supported, including non-rectangular panes?\n\nDo you have a preferred actuator/motor type and firmware platform for the two-sided scrub heads?\n\nWhat are the charging dock specs (voltage/current) and maximum magnetic attachment force needed

Hi, I’m excited to submit my proposal for the development of your palm-sized, battery-powered glass-cleaning robot with autonomous docking and scheduling. This is a technically rich product challenge that combines compact mechanical design, motion control, power management, and robust prototyping—an area where I have hands-on experience. I can support the project end-to-end: translating your functional requirements into a manufacturable mechanical architecture, designing the dual-side magnetic coupling system, and developing a reliable rotary scrubbing mechanism suitable for irregular (non-rectangular) glass. I will focus on durability, water resistance, and serviceability while keeping the form factor compact and production-ready. On the systems side, I can design the docking and charging interface, scheduling logic, and basic navigation strategy using stored path mapping rather than continuous sensing, as you outlined. My approach emphasizes iterative prototyping—build, test, refine—so performance issues are addressed early and documented clearly. Deliverables will include a fully assembled working prototype with dock, a concise build log covering mechanical, electrical, and firmware decisions, and post-test refinements aimed at small-batch manufacturability. I work with SolidWorks/Fusion 360 for mechanical design and have experience integrating motors, batteries, magnetic systems, and embedded control into compact consumer devices. Kind regards,

Hi there, I can help you take this palm-sized glass-cleaning robot from concept to a working prototype, including the paired magnetic “other side” unit and a charging dock for parking and scheduled runs. I’ll design the rotary scrubbing mechanism, the docking/coupling and charge system, and a simple navigation approach that can use a saved map instead of constant sensing. The design will account for non-rectangular glass edges, be water-resistant for real-world use, and include a build log so you can refine it or move toward small-batch production. After the first prototype is tested, I’ll support an iteration pass to tighten reliability and cleaning performance. Looking forward to your reply — Tayo.
