I need a continuous loop of 2mm waxed cotton cord, 50-pound test, to use as a pull cord on a small pulley. Requirements: - Connect the two ends seamlessly and evenly. - Connection methods: sewing or gluing. - Need a strong but possibly flexible adhesive that is not bumpy. Ideal Skills and Experience: - Experience with waxed cotton cord - Proficiency in sewing or gluing - Knowledge of adhesives and their properties Is there a way to use a small piece of nylon thread as a dowel and insert each end and glue it? I would need to mass produce this also. It's not just a one-off process. I've somewhat successfully tapered two ends and glued them together.

Drawing from my 50+ successfully-completed projects as a Mechanical Design Engineer, I am confident in my ability to produce a seamlessly connected, continuous loop of waxed cotton cord for your pulley. Firstly, my proficiency in sewing and gluing ensures that I can employ the most suitable method for connecting the two ends of the cord-- tamping with a small piece of nylon thread and applying of an adhesive. I can also leverage my knowledge of adhesives to identify a strong yet non-bumpy adhesive that can likely introduce a degree of flexibility into the connection. Additionally, mass production poses no problem at all. My deep understanding of manufacturing processes combined with an engineering-minded approach allows me to design products that are not only functional and optimized but also cost-effective. In this case, I will ensure a design that lends itself efficiently to mass production. As someone who values clear communication and on-time delivery, my promise to you is not just a sleek-looking solution but one that works flawlessly. With me, you get more than design service; you gain an experienced professional who functions at the intersection of aesthetic appeal and robust functionality. Let's build on your concept together to develop a product that reduces complexity, is efficient to manufacture, and performs excellently in real-world conditions.

Hello, As an IT professional and a Full-Stack Developer, my repertoire extends beyond just coding. I am also skilled in **Textile Design** - a unique skill that directly overlaps with your requirement. While possessing expertise in working with various materials like **waxed cotton**, I can ensure the seamless and even connection you desire for the pull cord. Moreover, my proficiency in sewing or gluing will enable me to execute your project successfully. I have also honed my knowledge about different adhesives and their properties, which is useful for your requirement of a strong but possibly flexible adhesive without bumps. Additionally, I can surely develop a method using a dowel and nylon thread to glue the ends together effectively - this may be a more efficient approach if you decide to mass produce these cords rather than the tapering method you've employed in the past. My client-centric approach is characteristic of not only delivering quality work within agreed timeframes, but also provides continuous support post-project completion. Given our rich experience with eCommerce solutions as well, scaling up your production process will not be an issue at all. Hurdles are inevitable, but when they arise, rest assured we will overcome them together! Looking forward to building a seamless cord connection for you! Thanks!

Hello I can help develop a clean and repeatable method for creating a seamless loop from 2mm waxed cotton cord while maintaining strength flexibility and a smooth finish. I can evaluate your current tapered and glued approach and explore options such as a small nylon thread core combined with a suitable adhesive. Since this will be mass produced I can focus on making the connection consistent fast and practical for repeated production. I am ready to review your current method and help develop a reliable production process.

Hi there! As a Creative Graphic Designer and AI visual problem-solver, I approach physical engineering bottlenecks through clear visual documentation. I reviewed the photo of your tapered cotton cord. The fundamental issue is that the wax acts as a release agent, blocking adhesive bonds, and inserting a dowel will expand the 2mm profile. The industry-standard solution for a 50lb test pull-cord is a combination of localized dewaxing and a "Sewn Scarf Joint." While I don't physically manufacture the cords, my role in your mass production is creating the technical documentation. I will design a highly detailed, visually illustrated Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and step-by-step diagram of this joint process. You can hand these professional visual guides directly to your factory workers or manufacturing partners, ensuring they understand exactly how to execute the dewaxing, tacking, and micro-stitching without creating bulky bumps. Let's create the blueprint for your mass production!
