I believe I'm the right man for this endeavor, as I recently completed my thesis work, which covered the design of an AC-DC-AC converter used to tackle power quality issues such as the ones you mentioned above, in my case I attacked problems caused by the grid, and achieved solving them through regeneration of the Sine Wave signal. I opted for a Boost PFC converter cascaded into a Full-bridge inverter. If you'd like I could share you SPICE simulation that validated my design and also documents stating all the design process. In your case, it's different to what I did though, we already have a stable input source, but the loads could cause issues in any inverter that does not have a robust control over it. Then it's even more important than in my case, to have a strong controller on the DC-AC stage. The design of which, would depend on the main Power Quality issues we're trying to solve, as solving current issues is not the same as going over voltage issues at least from a Control System design standpoint, and solving both at the same time would be costlier in engineering costs due to the time It'd take to come up with a controller capable of that. So, what's the main issue you're trying to solve? What parts of it are you going to be more lenient towards? And what's your desirable BOM too? Hit me up so we could sketch a plan.
