Fix PHPMailer Email Form Error

All contact and booking forms on my two custom HTML sites have stopped delivering mail. Every submission now throws the following PHPMailer message: “Message could not be sent. Mailer Error: SMTP Error: Could not connect to SMTP host… stream_socket_enable_crypto(): SSL operation failed… tlsv1 alert protocol version… QUIT command failed”. Nothing else on the sites has changed, so I suspect an outdated PHPMailer version or deprecated TLS setting is blocking the handshake with our SMTP host.
