We need to integrate 2 different software platforms using APIs. The APIs are available in Eworks. We use Pipedrive as our CRM and want to take leads and opportunities and create records in Eworks when sales are confirmed, copying customers and projects including values and items into https://www.eworksmanager.co.uk. Eworks APIs are available on their system. See below for details and see attachment for what the API includes. Eworks Manager You can use this API to interact with Eworks Manager System. Authorization OAuth 2.0 (Recommended) The API uses OAuth 2.0 protocol for authorization. The authentication tokens will be provided with the Login response and every following request MUST contain Bearer Token (access_key) in the Authorization header. API key authentication lets communicate with Eworks Manager, you need to provide the API key in the header parameter of each API call. You can generate your OAuth App by going to Settings -> General Settings -> EWM API -> OAuth App in Eworks Manager. You can generate your API Key by going to Settings -> General Settings -> EWM API -> API Key in Eworks Manager. Note: All endpoints below are based on OAuth 2.0 authentication, please replace Authorization header with api_key when using API Key authentication Rate Limit Maximum of 5 invalid Login attempts (your account will be locked for 5 minutes after that). Maximum of 60 requests per minute HTTP Requests and Responses Successful responses return with a HTTP 200 status code. All responses are returned as JSON (JavaScript Object Notation). Response object contains status, messages, and collection data. status: The Eworks Manager status for the request, for example 1 for success and 0 for failed request. messages: Array of messages returned by Eworks Manager, it contains the array of messages with respective codes. collection: Object of collection of data resources, only included with returning a data response. HTTP GET INDIVIDUAL RESOURCE To retrieve a specific resource you can append its identifier to the end of the URL. The example below shows retrieving a specific customer using the HTTP GET method. [login to view URL] ALL RESOURCES With some endpoints you may need to retrieve a full list of resources e.g. Customers or Invoices. You can do this by simply using a HTTP GET with the resource name. [login to view URL] HTTP POST and PUT The HTTP PUT and POST methods are used for sending information to the API. A POST method will create new data in Eworks Manager, whereas a PUT will update existing data in Eworks Manager. Supported Content-Types include: application/x-www-form-urlencoded application/json The Encoding type should be set as “UTF-8” You should check the response from each API call and not assume that it will be completed successfully. This includes checking that you get a HTTP 200 response and a status of OK. checking that you have received an identifier (e.g. id) for the new object created.
