There may be some simple fixes, I've never seen this particular problem and have supported thousands of users running Office. If you are somewhat technical, you could attempt to remove the Office registry key under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office, potentially export a backup copy in the event that it doesn't resolve the particular problem. It could also be that there are files in your user profile that are causing the issue, we would also attempt to create another user account and determine if the issue persists.
