I already have a Windows-based .exe that simply wraps a Spring Boot jar; that jar contains virtually all of the middleware logic connecting my local system with an external service. What I need now is a developer who can transform that single-file setup into a fully-fledged, scalable server running in the cloud. Point to me note - i want that spring boot server working as it is same no chnages only chances main sevrer inside it and make sure jar works with that server same to same as they work with orignal ones You’ll receive: • the original Spring Boot jar (inside the exe) • my full assistance and domain knowledge whenever you need it Scope 1. Unpack or otherwise extract the jar so the project can be built, tested and version-controlled normally. 2. Refactor or re-organise the codebase only where strictly required to run as a proper microservice. 3. Deploy the service to a cloud environment—my preference is Bigrock, yet I’m happy to hear your advice on using their cloud instances or an equivalent provider. 4. Make sure the middleware takes care of data processing, authentication & authorisation, and works as an API gateway exactly as it does now, but exposed through secure HTTPS endpoints. 5. Set up CI/CD so future updates are as simple as pushing to the repo. Deliverables • Compilable Spring Boot project (Gradle or Maven) in a Git repo • Cloud deployment (container image or VM) reachable at a public URL • Documentation covering build steps, environment variables and endpoint specs • A short hand-off session to walk me through the setup Acceptance criteria • All three functions—data processing, auth, API gateway—pass functional tests in the cloud instance. • Service restarts cleanly from scratch using only the supplied repo and deployment scripts. • Latency and throughput are comparable to or better than the current exe solution. If you’re confident with Java, Spring Boot and cloud deployments and can work within the Bigrock ecosystem (or advise on a superior alternative), let’s talk.

Hi! Just to confirm, do you have the original Spring Boot source code, or only the Windows .exe and embedded JAR, and is the JAR executable on its own? I can migrate the existing Spring Boot service to a cloud-hosted environment, preserving its current behavior while deploying it behind HTTPS with CI/CD, environment-based configuration, and reliable service management. If only the compiled JAR is available, I'll first assess whether it can be extracted and deployed directly or determine what level of reverse engineering is realistically possible before making any code changes. Let's review the JAR, target cloud environment (BigRock or an alternative), and deployment requirements so I can recommend the safest migration approach.

Extracting a Spring Boot jar from a Windows .exe and turning it into a cloud-native service is mostly about keeping the code untouched—re-org only where the current packaging blocks deploy or CI. I’ve containerized and deployed legacy Spring Boot middleware before, converting local Windows wrappers into cloud VMs and Docker containers. I’d unpack your exe, extract the jar, set up a Git project with clear build scripts (Maven/Gradle, your pick), then run functional tests to confirm nothing broke. Cloud: Bigrock VMs are fine; Docker or direct JVM deploy, with full SSL setup. CI/CD via GitHub Actions or GitLab CI, so you push updates when needed. Are there any native Windows dependencies inside the jar, or is it pure Java/Spring? I’ll lay out the migration and deploy steps once I see the code layout. Pradeep

Keen. New on Freelancer, not new to development - my one review is 5 stars ("built my website in 24 hours, quality exceeded my expectations"). Bidding your floor - priced for the review, not the fee. You said it best: same server, no changes, works same-to-same. That's exactly why I would NOT decompile or refactor. A jar is already runnable - to move it to the cloud you run it as-is in a container (java -jar), behind HTTPS with a reverse proxy, health checks and CI/CD. Behaviour stays identical by construction. Decompiling to "recover source" is the trap: the output rarely recompiles cleanly (lost generics, obfuscation, Lombok) and risks the very changes you don't want. I'd touch source only if you later need a real code change. The flag most bidders miss - and it decides feasibility: your middleware "connects my LOCAL system to an external service." A cloud box can't reach your local network. If the jar only calls OUTWARD to external APIs, lift-and-shift is clean. If it must reach a device/DB/app on your machine, we need a secure tunnel/relay agent, or the cloud copy simply can't see the local side. Settle that before anyone quotes. (To sakshigweb: no need to reverse-engineer the contract to deploy - the jar carries it.) Two questions: 1) Does the jar reach anything on your LOCAL network, or only external APIs? 2) Do you have the ORIGINAL source, or only the jar inside the exe?

Hi! We'd be happy to help migrate your existing Spring Boot application from its current Windows executable setup to a scalable cloud deployment while preserving its existing functionality. We'll first assess how the JAR is packaged, then prepare a maintainable Spring Boot project where feasible, deploy it securely with HTTPS, configure CI/CD for future updates, and ensure the middleware continues handling data processing, authentication, and API gateway responsibilities as it does today. We'll also provide complete documentation and a hand-off session after deployment. One quick question: Do you already have the original Spring Boot source code, or is the packaged executable/JAR the only version currently available?

Hello, Your project aligns well with my experience in Java, Spring Boot, backend development, AWS, Docker, and REST APIs. I have worked on Spring Boot applications involving secure authentication, payment processing, database integration, and microservices architecture. During my internship, I integrated PayPal PSP into an AWS-hosted Spring Boot microservices application, implemented OAuth 2.0 and HMAC-SHA256 using Spring Security, and developed backend services with MySQL, Redis, and ActiveMQ. For this project, I can help migrate the existing Spring Boot application to a cloud-hosted environment while preserving its current functionality. My focus will be on deploying the application with minimal changes to the business logic, configuring secure HTTPS endpoints, setting up environment-based configuration, Dockerizing the application, and implementing a CI/CD pipeline for seamless deployments. I can also provide complete documentation, deployment scripts, and a walkthrough session to ensure your team can easily maintain and operate the service after handover. I would be happy to discuss the EXE/JAR structure and determine the best migration approach before implementation. Thanks, Arpit Shridhar

Your wrapper sounds like a Windows .exe around a Spring Boot jar, so I would handle this as a Linux deployment/debugging task first: verify Java version, env variables, startup command, ports/firewall, logs, service setup, and connectivity to the external service. I work with Linux, server processes, Docker/Nginx-style deployment, environment configuration, logs, API smoke tests, and production troubleshooting. I can start today and aim for an initial diagnosis within one hour after receiving the jar/config and server details. Please create a funded milestone before server access; I will use staging/test credentials only.

Hello, I am interested in helping you migrate your existing Spring Boot application to a cloud-hosted environment while preserving its current functionality. From your description, I understand that the objective is not to redesign or rewrite the application, but to ensure the existing Spring Boot service runs in the cloud exactly as it does today. Any code changes will be limited to those strictly required for deployment, configuration, and infrastructure. My approach will be: * Extract or recover the Spring Boot JAR/project from the existing executable (or work directly with the JAR if appropriate). * Analyze the application structure and dependencies. * Preserve all existing business logic, authentication, data processing, and API gateway functionality. * Deploy the application on your preferred cloud platform (BigRock or another suitable provider if needed). * Set up CI/CD for streamlined future deployments. * Deliver a clean Git repository (where source is available or can be reconstructed), deployment scripts, build documentation, environment configuration, and a hand-off session. Before starting, I would like to review: * The existing executable and/or Spring Boot JAR * Any available source code (if available) * Current configuration files * External service dependencies * Deployment preferences and domain/SSL requirements Once I review the application, I can provide an accurate timeline and implementation plan. I look forward to discussing your project.

Hi, I have the expertise and experience to get this job done for you. With my strong hold of the technology stack I will deliver this to the best of my abilities. I have just one question, are you the owner of this code base or do you plan to reverse engineer the exe. You could use namecheap instead but thats a topic in itself. If you would like to discuss this further lets chat. Thanks, bhagawathi

Hello, I am a senior software engineer with more than 10 years of experience in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, Docker, CI/CD and cloud deployments. I can inspect the executable/JAR and its runtime dependencies, establish a reproducible Maven or Gradle build where the available source permits it, containerize the service, configure HTTPS and environment-based secrets, and deploy it with automated tests and documentation. I will preserve current behavior and only change what is required for secure server operation. Before starting, I would confirm whether the original source code is available, because a JAR alone may limit how completely the project can be reconstructed. My bid covers an initial assessment and focused deployment within the stated budget; any larger reverse-engineering effort would be scoped transparently before proceeding.

From your description, I understand that the goal is not to change the business logic, but to extract the existing Spring Boot application, preserve its behavior exactly as it is, and host it as a scalable cloud service. I would focus on keeping the JAR's functionality identical while restructuring only what is necessary for cloud deployment, HTTPS, configuration management, and CI/CD. I can deliver a compilable Maven/Gradle project, cloud deployment, deployment documentation, and a smooth handover. If Bigrock has any limitations, I'll recommend the most suitable hosting option while ensuring the solution remains easy to maintain and update.
