I need an experienced hand to turn a collection of raw operational feeds into reliable, well-structured data sets that the rest of my team can query with confidence. Everything lives in Azure, so you’ll be working directly inside Azure SQL and orchestrating flows through Data Factory. The core of the assignment is engineering: designing, building and refining automated pipelines that ingest, cleanse and transform data on a set schedule. You’ll also review existing tables, recommend the best-fit schema, and tune queries for speed and cost efficiency. Once the foundations are in place, clear documentation will be essential so analysts can self-serve without coming back to you for every column definition. Key deliverables • End-to-end Data Factory pipelines wired to our current Azure SQL instance • Optimised table structures, indexes and partitioning strategies • Parameterised scripts (or notebooks) that can be rerun or modified easily • A concise runbook and ER diagram so future developers can jump in quickly The data sources are ready, the cloud environment is provisioned, and access can be granted the moment we agree on milestones and timeline.
