Craft hangs when interacting with database. Hmm.. I would think it could be db is overloaded. Is the DB on a separate server? May be a slow query is running. Did you check the cpu percentage by doing a top? Did you check to see if any slow query is running? Did you check if any scheduled task or cron job is running? Well dont worry if you have not checked. I am the expert in this and I can do the investigation for you. Please hire me so we can get started.
