Hello, I am a native English speaker with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from UNSW (Australia) and LL.M. (Master) in German Law from Humboldt University. I speak fluent German, having studied law in the German language, and have a strong legal background with both a Bachelors and Masters degree in the area. I have worked in law firms in Sydney, Tokyo and most recently in Berlin, where I was asked to translate and proofread a number of legal documents. I therefore consider myself qualified to translate German documents into English. I also have plenty of academic proofreading experience. I have most recently edited a PhD thesis on immigration law, and in the past I have also worked for faculty academics at the University of New South Wales editing journal articles for publication in law journals. I'm a native German who takes advanced courses in both German and English and thus those languages are part of my daily life. I think I'm well suited for the English translation of your 5650 words since I just recently translated 7800 words from English to German (as seen on my portfolio). Also, since I'm a native German but browse the Internet in English, I know how privacy policies are normally formulated in English and can therefor provide a flawless and very accurate translation. Here is a translation for your examples: (i) The user is eligible to cancel his membership at xxxxxx at any point. For this there is an account-deletion-function in the account settings on the website or the mobile apps. A termination is also possible via Fax or Email. (ii) The membership is, without respecting the period of notice, terminable through xxxxxx if the user infringes against the general terms of service. (iii) On top of that has xxxxxxx the right to reject the registration of users without any further statements. I can translate about 1000-1500 words per hour, maybe rather 1000 words since privacy policies are quiet complex.
