Hello, there. When you say, "experienced translator with search engine knowledge," are you saying that I may use Google Translator to do this work for you? I am experienced with Google Translator. I have several friends who speak other languages, and I use Google to help me communicate. I know that I can not always input the entire string of text and expect a good translation. Sometimes (well, quite often), I notice when translating FROM English, that it does not translate into the correct meaning for certain words, so I have to try translating just that word in order to find the appropriate meaning. Then I have to conjugate it so I can put it back in the text properly. But when translating their text TO English—which is what we'll be doing here—I can really only put it in the translator and try to figure out what the weird-sounding translation means. I am pretty good at doing that, though. So, if this is agreeable (because I don't know German), I would put the text into translator, probably one sentence or paragraph at a time, and then edit what it gives me. My primary job is Editor/Proofreader, so you are in good hands there. If this sounds good, I am agreeable to a long-term, ongoing job with you. Let's talk.
