Remote Desktop Services on my Windows Server 2016 suddenly stopped accepting connections both from inside the LAN and from the outside. Every attempt is immediately refused—no timeout, just a flat rejection—and this began out of the blue with no updates, restarts, or network re-configs beforehand. I need someone who can jump in, isolate the root cause, and restore full RDS functionality. Expect to work directly on the server (local console or alternative remote tool) and verify that users can log in again from internal IPs and through our existing external gateway. Troubleshooting may involve checking licensing, NLA, firewall rules, TLS settings, and the RDP listener, but I’m open to any avenue you deem necessary. Deliverable: a fully working RDS connection, confirmed from both network perspectives, plus a brief summary of what was fixed so I have a record for future reference.
