I want to interface a low cost, 4 / 6 pin graphics display, 128 x 64 ([login to view URL]) or higher to Raspberry PI 3 so that I can display different size text and small graphics (symbols) from the console. Also interface 6 push make buttons that can be used to perform specified actions / run scripts. I want to be able to define the GPIO pins as inputs / outputs in a configuration file and the program to monitor specified GPIO pins. The pin monitoring should be interrupt driven and NOT through software looping. When a particular button is pressed, I want the system to run specified scripts / programs or update the display (show / hide text / symbols) - as defined in the configuration file. If no buttons have been pressed for a period, specified in the configuration file (say 10 mins) then I want the display to sleep (go blank) and wake up (resume previous display) when a button is pressed.
