What makes a good editor? I believe A great video editor needs to be a storyteller, which means you must understand the elements to that story as well know all of the software that they are using Not only am I experienced in Adobe premiere but I also own 'final cut prox' after-effect' photoshop' and more I have came 1st in editing out of 1,000 people for making the best edit!! A good video editor listens to what the client wants and adds their own creative touch. It is important for a video editor to do multiple revisions and take criticism. Video editors should also enjoy what they do. I have been using Adobe Premiere Elements and Pro for 2-3 years and I am happy to work for cheap as I enjoy what I do and am happy to do multiple revisions. :) I have experience in video editing through school projects and through community projects like memorial videos.
