Ascendio is currently looking for participants to contribute to a project focused on improving Speech Recognition technologies. The data you provide will be used to train and develop AI algorithms. Job Description: As a data collector, you will be asked to record short sentences using the Appen Mobile App. The task consists of reading and speaking aloud 800 short sentences in German which will be displayed on your screen. For example: "Okay Alexa, ich brauche eine Wegbeschreibung zur Arbeit".
? Duration: Each sentence takes approximately 3 to 6 seconds. You should allocate about 4 hours to complete the 800 recordings. We recommend taking breaks and you will have a minimum of 7 days to complete the task.
? Payment: We offer a compensation of $300 for this project, payable upon successful completion and quality check of the 800 recordings. If you submit less than 800 acceptable recordings, your payment will be calculated proportionally, with a minimum acceptance rate of 80%.
? Requirements:
- Access to a current smartphone (iOS devices must be iPhone 8 or newer, Android devices must be 2017 or newer)
- Over 18 years old
- Native German speaker (Belgian accent desired) and resident of Belgium/Germany
- Ability to record audios in a quiet room, free of background noise

Hi Markus, ich kann auf einem iPhone oder auch auf einem MacBook mit externem Mikrofon die Audios in einem ruhigen Raum aufnehmen. Ich habe Zeit und die Disziplin den Auftrag anzunehmen. ich bin eben auf Ihre Suche aufmerksam geworden und würde Ihnen gerne helfen die Spracherkennung zu verbessern. Ich bin deutsche Muttersprachlerin und wohne in der Nähe von Braunschweig. Ich habe in Niedersachsen Abitur gemacht und einen Master in Informatik. Ich bin 30 Jahre alt und aktuell in Teilzeit beschäftigt, weshalb ich etwas suche um nebenbei etwas Geld zu verdienen. Ein ruhiger Raum zur Aufnahme ist kein Problem, da ich in einem großen Einfamilienhaus wohne. Ein aktuelles Smartphone (Android) ist vorhanden, im Zweifelsfall auch genügend Ausweichgeräte. Ich gehe davon aus, dass ich die Arbeit in 3-4 Tagen erledigen könnte.
Wenn Sie Fragen haben, melden Sie sich gerne bei mir. Ich würde mich sehr freuen, wenn es klappt, da mich als Informatikerin auch das Thema wirklich interessiert.
