I was involved in proof reading and helping with the co-ordination of a new Nepalese Cook Book, working closely with the editor and designers to create a product which has since gone on to receive first place in the World Cookbook of the Year award (2014) Description: Ex-Gurkha soldier, Pemba Lama served in the British Army for 23 years, retiring as a senior Gurkha Catering Officer. This is his first book and is a unique publication which incorporates a fusion of Indian, Chinese, Malaysian and Tibetan influences and showcases true Nepalese food at its best - fresh, healthy, simple to prepare and delicious! Pemba travelled extensively to produce the very best recipes for this book which also incorporates a UK 'twist' at the end with a selection of puddings by local Cranbrook (Kent) chef, Nicci Gurr, using Nepalese tea! A donation will be made to the Gurkha Welfare Trust for every book sold and we also work very closely with the Gurkha Museum, Winchester
