20+ years of programming, 12+ years as a job. It's not just how I make a living, it's also something I love and really enjoy doing. I develop robust desktop software, scripts and utilities to make your company's work easier. I love automating things so that time consuming tasks can be run in an effortless way. I am very responsive and feel it my duty to let the employer know how things are advancing. I also always give constructive input but respect the employer's final decisions. My strongest computer language is VB.Net but I can also do C#, VBA and several other which I am out of practice at this time. I believe in the adaptive qualities of Agile software development values and test-driven development by doing unit tests. One of my current interests is functional programming. Specifically F# and the many paradigms that have recently been added to VB.Net and C#, namely: Lamba expression, lazy evaluation, LINQ data querying and parallel programing across several CPU cores are a few of my favorites. My current favorite database is SQlite because it can run without configuring a database server but in the past I have worked heavily with Access and MS SQL. If you need help creating complex MS SQL reports with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), I enjoy doing this too. I can also help out with data transformation and layout in Word, Excel, CSV, XML formats etc. I also speak, read and write English, French and Spanish fluently.
