I'm a translator, writer, and editor, originally from the UK and now based in Brazil. I work with literary and academic texts, creative adaptation for advertising, subtitles, graphic novels, and many other kinds of text. My translations of poems, short stories, essays and articles by Brazilian contemporary writers have appeared widely in journals, and I am also the author of two books. I co-founded and co-run Livraria Boto-cor-de-rosa, an independent bookshop, cultural space and small press dedicated to contemporary fiction and poetry in Salvador, Brazil, where I am based.
