PHP CSV output

Hi, I need someone who has some experience outputting data to CSV from PHP. I am trying to output some fields that need to be enclosed in quote marks but it is coming out with triple quotes or it's coming out with double spaces. The code I'm using is this: <? $reference = "\"this is the reference\""; // quotes need to be output in csv, e.g. "this is the reference" $vessel = "\"this is the vessel\""; // same as above $other = "No quotes needed"; // no quotes needed, would output as No quotes needed $list = array ( array($reference,$vessel,$other),); $fp = fopen('[login to view URL]', 'w'); foreach ($list as $fields) { fputcsv($fp, $fields); } fclose($fp); ?> This outputs: """this is the reference""","""this is the vessel""","No quotes needed" If i change the fputcsv line to fputcsv($fp, $fields, ',', ' '); Then it outputs double spaces between words like this: "this is the reference" , "this is the vessel" , No quotes needed I need the code to make it output like this: "this is the reference","this is the vessel",No quotes needed
