Hi there,
Thank you in advance for your time.
I am looking to start an online eCommerce business but have previously filed for personal bankruptcy which is still current.
I am just wondering what the legal requirements for me to start a business under these circumstances are, and if there are any implications with tax or anything else.
Also, before I declared bankruptcy I had already acquired an ABN, not sure if this makes a difference or not.
I have been told from a friend that someone who has become bankrupt can not be a director of a company and thus cannot start one.

Hi Justin, Just submitted my exhaustive entry on the issue. Lots of hard work involved and thorough research done to bring this together. Allowing word or pdf versions to be uploaded, for this contest, would have been better as the entries would be text based. Looking forward to your response.
