I have extended the contest. I want you to show the "under 10 second dryer" together with a whole body "under 10 second" shower. I am not sure how the nozzles should be arranged, but they will have to not give you a feeling of drowning, while washing the whole body simultaneously.

I want a few of your ideas. First I will post this as a contest. I was planning to post as a project, but I found it would be useful to gather some ideas first.

I want some realistic renders or good looking physical prototypes. They will be used for marketing and people must be willing to part with their money based on the illustration.

please add dehumidifying and user interface to your designs. and place them in a photorealistic render or picture of a bathroom use a nice luxurious bathroom. also give an explanation of your concept

below is the project that might be posted after the contest.

Design, build and mail a production ready, user friendly and safe prototype of a blower system akin to dyson air blade, just for the whole body that can be placed in or near showers and that can replace towels. Remember the areas where the sun rarely shines.

Also prioritise comfort (so compensate for evaporative cooling with heating? and perhaps adjustable temperature.) and looks. The visible parts can be made so that different cosmetic skins/parts can be applied and it works in different design environments.
As frictionless as possible to use is important. intuitive. no instruction manuals needed for use and installation.
some automatic sensing of finished shower in addition to a button could be an implementation.

I am agnostic to what exact solution it is so long as it works well and looks exquisite.

If you feel you can do only parts of the project, you are still welcome aboard as the other areas of expertise can be brought in elsewhere.

I pay for materials and your work.


I have a couple of implementation ideas, but it would be nice to see what others come up with. the best idea must win. like steve jobs said.
And also remember What elon musk said. "No part is better than a part" so simplicity is great!

It should be easily installed too.


First we do a brain storming session. on video or back and forth on say skype.
then you make some drawings /sketches of idea iterations.
then we decide on the implementations for v1 and possibly alternative designs.
then you make a functional prototype that at least implements enough of the cosmetic solution that we know that the whole cosmetic solution can be done. test that it works and does the job.
then we do one major change/implement ideas
Then you make the version you are sending to me.

The prototype doesn't have to be produced with the same techniques as finished design, but must be ready for attracting future customers and must be manifacturable later on.

this will be crowd fuinding project so first task will be to make some nice drawings, a computer render that can be used for gauging market interest. So that is the first step of the process.

    Ok Guys! The air towel will be integrated with a whole body shower system. Same ethos as with the dryer it will wash the whole body at once. with a myriad of water jets/streams. from the top, there will only be straight down water, but from shoulders and down the water will come from all sides. Please take that into account in your design. perhaps even propose your combination system. Remember to have a way to dry the feet and make the system elegant. 10 seconds drying time is the goal.

    A little doubt, should the working principle of the Air Towel be same as that of the Dyson fan or that's just for the exterior design ?

      just tge principle. i think some air pressure is needed to move the water around so as not to become droplets with little surface area
