i installed a WordPress website all went fine. once i try to install any plugins i was getting an error directory not found,

so i added the below line of code to my wp-config file.

define('FS_METHOD', 'ftpsockets');
define('FTP_BASE', 'xxx');
I Replacedthe xxx with my ftp home path e.g /opt/htdocs/wordpress

all file permissions are correct.

Now when i try to install plugin from WordPress repository or Private Repository it just hangs on the the installing page same issue when i try to update WordPress core.

the first person to solve the issue wins the contest.

Have submitted the message with solution in entry. you will find wordpress database and file permission issue on hostgator hosting or others, who're providing open source free Cpanel to customers which has bugs/security vunerabilities, As I have described in entry message. Try to set file permissions/CHMOD for wordpress directory folders using FireFTP and if it did not fix the issue then, try Godaddy's wordpress-linux hosting which is stable for wordpress and one need not have to worry about setting file permissions to any wordpress folders.
