Customize my Wordpress theme

I need the WordPress theme I am currently using to be modified. My website is a photography website and I just switched to the new theme.
The problem is that on some of the portfolio pages, my images are too large and cut off at the edge of the page. There is an option within the theme to fit the images to the reader's screen but it doesn't seem to work. I've attached some pictures from the demo site that demonstrate how it should look, and a screenshot from a page on my site that isn't working properly.
