Add SMTP Authentication to a script

I am curently using POPMail 2.3 on my server to allow users to check mail received on different email accounts - [url removed, login to view] is the front end and it is hard coded to receive email from a [url removed, login to view] server.

The receiving part works perfectly, now heres the problem, the 1and1 server uses SMTP Authentication to send emails - this script does not support Authentication - now I have checked into this, and I reckon, based on what I've read, that it shouldn't be that difficult to include Authentication.

So, who wants the job? Funds as always are low, so it would suit someone looking for excellent feedback on completion.

I've uploaded the mail handler file which I reckon has to be edited to allow the Authentication, but I'll give the successful provider full access to my server to test things out.

## Deliverables

1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.

2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):

a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.

b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.

3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).

## Platform

Server is Linux, but must work on Windows as well.

Accessbile in all browsers.
